During the summer of 1960, Rev. Martin Eidbo began work on what was to become the Northlake Lutheran Church. On Sunday, July 10, 1960, the first worship service was held for the forthcoming congregation. On Sunday, December 11, 1960, the congregation was officially organized and affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
